3 Days of Adventures from Playa Flamingo

One tour a day, on the water, inland and off-road

Three-day adventure plan

Three days, three kinds of adventure

If you're coming for the tours, this is how we'd line them up. One day on the water, one day inland at the waterfalls and ziplines, and one day off-road or in the surf. Each day has one main tour, so you still get time at the beach.

Day 1

A day on the water

Start with the ocean. Most boats leave from the Flamingo Marina in the morning, when the water is usually calmest.

Day 2

Head inland

Swap the beach for rivers, canopy and waterfalls. Most inland tours are an hour or so from Flamingo, so leave after an early breakfast.

Day 3

Off-road or in the surf

Finish with whichever one sounds more like you, then end the trip on the water at sunset.

  • ATVs

An ATV tour through backroads, river crossings and hilltop lookouts. Mornings are cooler and usually dry.

  • Surf

Or drive down for a beginner surf lesson in Tamarindo. About 90 minutes on gentle waves, and most people stand up on day one.

  • Sunset

Close it out on a sunset catamaran if you didn't do one on day one, or with drinks on the sand at Coco Loco.
