Adventure parks near Playa Flamingo

Adventure parks put a handful of activities in one place: zip lines, ATV rides, hanging bridges and animal sanctuaries. Pick a package, show up, and the park handles the rest.

They're about 30 to 60 minutes from Flamingo, Potrero and Brasilito, everything is guided, and they're one of the easiest ways to keep a mixed group happy.

What to expect

How the day usually goes

Everything is structured and guided, so it's easy even if nobody in the group has done any of it before.

Local tip: if your group can't agree on ziplines, ATVs or animals, a park lets everyone do their thing in one morning.

A quick check-in and orientation when you arrive.

  • Your activities

Guides take you through each activity in your package, one after another.

  • Breaks

Some parks have a restaurant, viewpoints or rest areas, which helps on a full day.

Good to know

Before you go

Parks run all year. Dry season, December to April, brings clear skies and dry trails. Green season, May to November, is lush and cooler.

  • What to wear

Comfortable clothes, closed-toe shoes, sunscreen and water. A camera is worth bringing for the animals.

  • Check your package

Packages vary a lot from park to park. We'll confirm exactly what yours includes before you book.

  • Plan the time

Give it at least half a day. A full-day package is a relaxed way to do a bit of everything.

  • Age limits

Zip lines and ATVs have their own age and size rules at each park. Tell us who's coming and we'll check.

Questions

Adventure park FAQ

Adventure park or a single tour?

A park is great for variety and for groups with different interests. If you just want one thing, like a long zipline course or a proper ATV ride, a single tour gives you more time on it.

How far are the parks from Playa Flamingo?

About 30 to 60 minutes inland, depending on the park.

Are they good for kids?

Yes. Parks are beginner-friendly, and the wildlife sanctuaries are usually a hit. Zip lines and ATVs have age limits that vary by park, so tell us the kids' ages.

What's included?

It depends on the package. Some include several activities and lunch, others are one or two activities. We'll confirm before you book.

Will we see animals?

Most likely. Many parks have sanctuaries caring for rescued wildlife, and you may spot monkeys and birds in the forest too.

What if it rains?

Parks run all year. Green season brings the odd shower, and light rain doesn't usually stop activities.
