Fuel for the day
Where to eat around your tours
Boat days start early and inland tours run long, so timing matters. These are the spots we send people to before an early boat, after a big day out, or when there’s a fresh catch to cook. For the full restaurant list, see our Playa Flamingo restaurant guide.
Before the boat
Early breakfast near the marina
a’lo Nico
A proper local breakfast. Simple menu, done well. Good before a surf lesson or a slow morning.
Surf Box
Right at the Flamingo Marina, so it’s easy before or after a boat day. French toast in the morning, poke bowls at lunch.
Hibiscus Café
Smoothies, wraps and lighter stuff. A good pick before a dive, when you don’t want anything heavy.
Back on land
Lunch after a tour
El Tiki
Street food with tiki decor. Quick and fun between activities. Cash only, but there’s an ATM across the street.
Brothers of Ale
Worth the short drive. Great beer, good food and it works any time of day.
Beach House Restaurant
Casual and right on the beach between Flamingo and Potrero. Bring your catch from a fishing trip and they’ll cook it.
Potrero Brewing
Craft beer with sliders and tacos from Gracia and Gritanga in a food court setup. Easy after a few hours in the sun.
After a big day
Sunset dinners
Gracia at Mar Vista
Our favorite for a sunset dinner. Big views and a relaxed feel, a little nicer without being formal.
Patagonia del Mar
More upscale, with a broad menu and a good wine list.
Coco Loco
Across from the sand at Flamingo Beach. Easy sunset drinks or dinner.
Hemingway’s
Lively beachfront spot with live music and a good sunset crowd.
Gracia La Vid
Italian. Grab a pizza to go and eat it on the beach at sunset.
Pair it with a day out
Eat well, then get out there
Most of these are a short walk or drive from where the boats leave. Tell us what you’re planning and we’ll tell you where to eat after.
